The Sons of Norway chapter in Hayward has invited us to their Friday evening Viking World Tour celebration. It's based on the Viking's tendency to sail to new places - and that T-shirt you may have seen...  Each table in the room will provide a sample of the foods - and possibly crafts - of countries the Vikings visited.  We'll join in the potluck food sampling, then put on our program entitled Digging the Vikings: An Archaeological Perspective. We'll display our usual arts, crafts and weaponry. The Hayward chapter is a very appreciative and welcoming group; we've been invited to their celebrations many times before. This is inside their meeting hall, so neither shade nor tents will need to be erected.
